That doesn’t mean the classes that do should be more credits. I think this is correct, in that I agree that most courses don't require near the workload that their credits suggest, however comparing relatively is still meaningful. Based on the time I think on average people put into 130, it should be a 7 credit class.
Most classes are pretty tough. The first three programming classes you'll most likely take are CSE20 (pretty easy), CSE 30 (wayyyyy harder than CSE20), then CSE12- the notoriously hard class that makes 50% of CS students reconsider their major. There's a mix of theory and hands-on classes which is a good balance imo.CSE 183. Web Applications. I took 130 last quarter with Harrison. It isn't the easiest class, but it also isn't the most difficult. You just have to put a lot of time into it. Excluding lectures and sections, 10 hours a week. There's also a lot of content you cover which makes it more challenging. You just need to be dedicated and spend enough time to do well in that class. The classes I'm not sure about are: CSE 130, CSE 102, and CSE 114. I'm also working part-time in the fall so I kinda want fall quarter classes to be a bit less time-consuming. My first option is to take CSE 130 w/ Nawab + ECE 130 w/ Yanik + CSE 185 w/ Gould in the fall and CSE 102 w/ Fremont + CSE 114 w/ Flanagan + ECE 171 w/ Pedrotti in the ...
