This post will go over everything you need to do in order to fix your lag (specifically for FF14, but will work for other games). There are many different kinds of lag, we will go over all the kinds of lag you can fix, and how to fix them.Solution: When playing, open your device manager. Click on view and select view hidden device. You will see Xvd (Xvdd) drive. Disable them all by disableling the Xvdd in storage controller. Keep the device manage open and keep playing. If the lag still happen, take a look at the device manager and watch for a new Xvd that is not gray out.This lag is only affecting FFXIV - Elemental. I have tried resetting Modem, router, using Lan Cables but nothing works. Yesterday I tried free trial VPN and it runs smoothly with 66ms latency. I am not sure if I should purchase the VPN or hope that things will get better on its own without additional VPN subscription.

The past week or so while playing FFXIV my FPS will suddenly drop very low to 9-11 fps and I will experience massive lag. It happens at all random times sometimes I am in dungeons, raid, eureka or just sitting in a main city.
