Looking for something I can keep 10 years, put 120k miles on it, and not cost an arm and a leg to own. The early 2nd gen were good (2007-2009). I'd avoid the later years (2010-2013) as they burn oil. just remember at 105k the timing belt and water pump is due for replacement , that will probably be the biggest maintenance expense.

Open to all models including the Integra, RSX, RDX, and MDX Oil consumption for the 10-13 MDX is a big issue that is caused by oil clogged rings around the pistons. Acura had an extended warranty for the fix; but, that expired years ago (replace the rings and cylinders for free). Look on YouTube and you can see other MDX owners that DYI the fix if you want to see what is involved.For the 2022 RDX the A-Spec Advance is $4000 more than an A-Spec and $2000 more than an Advance. I'm sure the MDX 2023 pricing would fall in line with these if they offer an A-Spec Advance for 2023 which seems likely. For me I'm not sure the A-Spec Advance would be worth that much more money. The MDX is more luxurious than the Pilot and has a sexier exterior but the few reasons against it are: (1) 3rd row is much smaller. At 6ft2 I couldn’t put my head straight up without hitting the ceiling. The window felt smaller and my wife did she was nauseous sitting back there. Pilot was much better.
