Full disclosure, I've had trouble with uninstalling previous versions of iCUE before and tried following advice online to fix it. I've tried using the control panel uninstall, deleting files, and diddling around with the registry to try and fix it, so there's no telling what amount of damage I've done.The next time your PC feels sluggish, your first step should be to uninstall iCue (and Armoury Crate), and bask in the striking performance gain — you may not even need to do anything else ...Corsair make great hardware but iCue is one of the worst pieces of software I have ever used. It's so bad I will look for other hardware in future unless it is fixed. It detects hardware I no longer have and there is no way to remove devices it has "detected". It's slow and bloated. It's unstable and hangs all the time.

Interestingly, iCue will still randomly remove its own start menu entry - but after adding it to startup and removing its ability to mess with the files, it cannot uninstall itself. Have you tried performing our instructions to clean remove iCUE, use DDU to completely uninstall the Nvidia driver, reboot, reinstall Nvidia Driver, and then install iCUE again? If its a corrupt Nvidia driver, which is what it sounds like, that would resolve the issue while also ensuring you are starting with a completely fresh install of iCUE ...The drivers, that the headset has through iCUE, are abysmally bad. So bad, that i had to remove iCUE from my PC, and without it, the headset actually sounds good. A bit of EQ here and there but it works fine for my ears.
