hog74. I have owned my 825i for over 6 years and it has been difficult to shift the whole time. My local John Deere dealer has replaced the primary clutch four times during that 6 years. John Deere paid for 2.5 of those and I paid the rest. I eliminated linkage as the problem by disconnecting it, and manually selecting each gear to the detent position. Low and reverse hold fine. The engine would run rough and miss, but continues to run. It starts right up and idles just fine. I checked the air cleaner and replaced the frame mounted fuel filter to no avail, and tried a fuel cleaner additive of some sort.

Jul 27, 2017 · Low fuel pressure could cause exactly what you are describing. My 825i had a new fuel pump installed with less than 40 hrs on it. Seems like the current/replacement pump is starting to act up too. It's taking longer cranking before it fires up. Betting it won't be long before it gives up.
