IMO the upgraded basic Kevin Lee French irons/chisels are worth the price. I have some $120 irons but I still use the upgraded basic French irons. The Kevin Lee most basic irons/chisels do seem to be polished AliExpress ones, but the polish does make them work better out of the box. However I recommend the upgraded basics.
