Pindell once said that past 300 yards the 6BR was a better round than the 6PPC, but the 6XC has a about 5 to 6 grains more capacity so that has to help a little bit. Its my humble opinion that the extra case capacity of the GT is best utilized running a heavier, higher BC bullet at the same velocities BR variants are running 105s. But I like the DTAC.I think if you are going to be running a lot of 110gr SMK, you might want either 6x47 or 6CM for the extra power. If you are going to be running the 105, go with 6 Dasher. Jun 18, 2020 · I tried everything under the sun with varget being so hard to find. 6.5 StaBall, h4895, h4350, and finally some varget. 6.5 StaBall was decently fast but not good ES, SD. H4895 was way slow and h4350 was ok (2850 before pressure). Varget is definitely the way to go. Much larger nodes and faster than everything else.

However I chose to neck down Lapua 6mm srp as it holds a few more grains of powder vs alpha and Peterson. Peterson brass is extremely strong in the web and case head, that's why the lower cap and extra weight. The peterson 6xc brass holds 48gr powder, 6gt is 43, 6 dasher is 40, their 22creed is 50. Hornady 6.5 creed is almost 54.
