There seems to be a whole heck of a lot of controversy as to what RPM to run the engine during break-in, how long to run it, whether to load the engine or not, etc etc. All in the name of properly seating the ... I have a Predator 212 Hemi. I added a mild cam, (Dynocam CL-2), ARC Billet 32 degree flywheel, carb jet kit, Cone air filter, pulse fuel pump, 18 lb springs, header pipe with big sausage muffler. All typical stuff. So since this is a typical build, someone should know what hp is makes after the mods.
Another guys engine that ran most of the season was almost ready to chew through the stem and drop a valve. The Predator's pull strong in stock configuration, and using a ~5000 ish RPM limit set by tweaking the governor linkage and checking the maximum RPM post race would be ideal with the intent of the class and the stock flywheel.

Hard to say if you tape fan and have a high side body heavier oil is better. No tape , low body, real box stock ,lite oil would be ok. Myself I pick oil than shows the least wear over the life of the motor. No Tape 100% stock out of the box 5000-5100 RPM on the track. 5400RPM on stand. 3.
