I think the gear setup is almost optimal, however instead of a berserker ring, use a treasonous ring. This ring gives a +8 stab bonus which is more than the berserker ring. For a hasta, maxing stab is optimal. And if possible also get an ardy cloak 3/4 instead of a fire cape since it also increases stab bonus.
