Jun 17, 2013. #1. Newb here just bought a JD 450C dozer. It runs fine at first, but after using it for 20 or 30 minutes it starts acting up. I'll be pushing dirt then all of a sudden it just stops moving. I'll back up and start moving forward again.

Re: Case 450 vs JD 450 in reply to Hippie, 10-09-2002 21:26:01. The JD has more hp than the Case but then it may need it for you can't put power to both tracks in turns. This was one of their favorite selling points when I worked for Case in the late seventies. I also thin that the JD may weigh a little more.

Clutch housings each have their own drain plugs and filler like the transmission (your operators manual provides details). You'll need a new gasket for the screen.
