building a strong 355 is way cheaper than building a 383 plus ci engine. the 383 is a torque monster with a strong all around power band up to 6000 rpm depending on heads and cam. obviously this will depend a lot on the crank, rods pistons balancing and lower engine parts like the 4 bolt mains so it can hold.
