Mystery solved- there is not much on the net about the musicians who played on the movie soundtrack but it looks like it was Wilbur Bascomb, who also played on Jeff Beck's 'Wired'. From an interview with him about the session: "It was August 1978, at A&R Studios, which used to be on 48th Street in New York.The pickups/bass overall sounds awesome. Apparently they are custom spec'd Seymour Duncans. Sounds like a P bass but bit more focused (exactly like how JMJ described it). In comparison to a standard 34" scale bass, the multi-scale length on the Cort A5 SCMS feels very comfortable. The Agro is way more versatile and useable IMHO thanks to the very easy but poweful Contour and Presence knobs. Same body and neck as the Decision (but with black blocks) but it has 3 Jazz Bomb pickups and a 5 way switch on a Tele style plate. I am in love with the "retro futuristic" design that Reverend has come up with and it screams cool on this bass.
