At level 5, Wyll can learn Fireball and Hunger of Hadar. Both are great AOE attacks that will decimate most enemy encounters if you manage to use them twice.

Sorlock is my favorite 5e build but in BG3 it's much worse. No restriction on casting multiple levelled spells combined with the 50% sorcery point cost increase for quicken means you should probably almost never quicken Eldritch Blast. On top of that, no Hexblade means no armor, no shield, no Hexblade's Curse.
