So took a cheap .5 mule drive mcdonalds order today. I then get a call from doordash(not doordash) telling me that due to a glitch the order was duplicated and will be cancelled and I will be paid my compensation. All normal until they wanted me to verify my number and email. Not today Scammers. They kept asking me for a code. I stopped answering the phone after the scams. I figured if DoorDash wants my attention it better be in app. DoorDash outsourcing hurts the drivers because the communication is the issue often. I’ve had orders unassigned I didn’t request and been removed from programs I didn’t request to be removed from. I might have fallen for that, glad I looked at that closer because you got the door dash but then you have the dash whenever the hell, that is an actual full link and that the royalty in charge of the internet allow that as part of a legitimate name in a URL should probably disallow that practice for putting dashes and a URL main part.I believe the scam is trying to change your payment information to be rerouted to them. I think the second part of the scam that they attempt is to try to reimburse you $25. They were trying to do that part with me but couldn't because I was driving. I figured they were going to try to get my banking information somehow.
