People seem to love the ceastus and it works for parry spammers but you'll generally find more often than not you'll only partial parry, take loads of damage and lose all your stamina. Small shields are much better at parrying Imo.

Well the title says it all. Even though I know quite a lot about DS3 I'm still not sure if I should make str or dex build for my main character. I mean Fume UGS sounds really tempting but DS3 has a lot of enemies and they can attack you rapidly dealing significant amount of damage which in late game will turn into 2-3 hit combo to death. That's why fast dex weapon could be a good possibility.

Heavy is probably the worst infusion because at 40 str it only has 316 AR. This is because heavy caestus will only scale with str and not dex. A sharp infusion scales with str and dex so with 10 str and 40 dex it has 324 AR. With Caestus you can equip one in left hand, buff it, then equip the right one without taking off left and buff it with different element so you can have fire and lightning in each hand cause FROM didn't bother giving gem infusions/elemental weapons any real visual effects except frost. :P They aren't amazing but they are alright.I mostly focus on PvE but I also like PvP and want to be able to deal with invasions and such. Maybe darkmoon blade, or other buff build. Treat it like a dual wield, maybe infused heavy. Don't forget you can chug with the weapon art, and even backstab with the right timing. Most successful caestusers I see use the L1 R2 L1 L1 true combo a bunch.
