May 18, 2017 · Early this year, a report was released highlighting the current crisis the iconic cheetah is facing worldwide. It is now estimated that only around 7000 cheetahs remain in Africa and more than three-quarters of their population exists outside of protected areas.
The Cheetah Run was our favorite exhibit. This unique demonstration shows their cheetah, Shirley, sprint across their 330-foot-long track. It only happens once a day at 3:30 PM, and there are long lines.
